Chilling with Bob Proctor (THE SECRET)

Can you attract whatever you want in your life simply by thinking (very hard) about it?

That’s the idea behing Bob Proctor’s The Secret and the Law of Attraction.

Now I am a big believer in all this crazy stuff. Of course there are limits to it but yes I do believe you attract whatever you wish for.

So it’s no surprise that when I heard good old Bob Proctor was in town I decided to pay him a visit and attend his $200 a seat conference (thanks to Groupon I got in at half price).

It took place last Sunday, between 9Am to 5PM (long day).

From left to right: Chiara (a good friend of mine), Bob Proctor and me.

I took loads of notes during the conference and I thought Id share them with you here, you might find some of this stuff helpful.

Bob Proctor is literally the ultimate punch-line and quotes machine, here are some of his best bits for that day:

“What do you really want out of your life?”

“This stuff can’t talk but God it can HEAR you when you call… HELLO!” (talking about and waving some money)

What he meant was that if you consciously call for wealth it will manifest itself in your life.

“Amateurs compete with people, pros compete with themselves”

Very good point… What would we become if we tried to outdo ourselves every single day?

“U got to strecht yourself and get outside your comfort zone.”

“Take the first step don’t worry about the height of the stair case.”

“The subconscious cannot tell the difference between what you imagine and what is real.”

“Use your imagination, picture the life you want, WRITE IT DOWN,  think of a plan to get there then execute your plan, be relentless until you reach your destination”

“Many people believe success is being in the right place at the right time. It has nothing to do with luck, it’s all about commitment and perseverance”

“Can you turn your annual income into your monthly income? Of course anybody can do that! I did it within one year!”

“You must learn how to plant your dream in your subcouscious mind then get help. With the
right help the dream grows and the paradigm shrinks”

Great tip. Bob insisted a lot on this ‘getting help’ bit. That means that you should find mentors and partners to get you where you want to be. Don’t try to do everything on your own.

“We own nothing, we are merely custodians. Once you changed your thinking (-that money/success is hard to get) change will happen at a very fast pace.”

“Goals are not to get, goals are to grow.”

“Don’t settle for goals you know or think you can do. Instead stretch yourself and aim for goals beyond your limits.”

Very wise 🙂 Donald Trump argues the same in his “Think Big and Kick Ass While Doing It” audio book (recommended!)

“Forget rational plans, take the next step and adapt to the change.”

“If I want to be free, I got to be me.”

“When Kennedy asked his top Nasa advisor ‘What will it take to go to the moon?’, his answer was ‘The will to do it’. You can do anything you put your mind to”.

“Trading time for money is a dumb idea.”

“Don’t go for the little change, go for the big change. Use your mastermind group and get external help when stuck”.

“Earn across multiple streams of income.”

“Invest money to make money.”

“Most people are extras in their own movies.”

“Our world is changing.”

“Ask no one for permission to grow. You got make your own decision and never look back on it.. Make your destiny, have an extraordinary mind.”

So as you have seen there was a lot of wisdom to gather from this guy. I hope some of these notes will inspire you and help you get closer to your goals and ultimately your destiny.

Have an excellent week,

How to start building a list for free in less than 5 minutes

Hey so as you know I’m a big advocate of growing your email list in every market you go in. For the past year I have been upgrading all my old Adsense and Amazon websites with optin forms; probably the smartest thing I have done in years!

If you think about it, if you are not capturing emails then you are losing visiors on a daily basis. Would you rather have 100 visits to your site a day or 100 visits and 50 subscribers that you can market to indefinitely for life?

Now one of the biggest barrier to entry when it comes to list building is price. In fact an autoresponder service is not cheap, you’ll need to shell out about $15-$30/month for a serious provider. By the way for this effect I recommend Aweber and Icontact, although I know that Mailchimp has a good free offer (only thing is their site just gets me very confused so I would go anywhere near that monkey ever again:).

So today I wanted to show you how you can integrate your first autoresponder to your site for free and in 5 minutes and start building that list today!

I don’t feel like shooting a video today, so here is a hardcore step-by-step tutorials, straight screenshots, no yada yada.

You’ll be up and running in exactly 5 minutes, just open a new tab and follow the steps.

STEP 1: Go to and enter your blog URL

STEP 2: Give your feed a title (don’t sweat over it)

Step 3: Click on ‘Skip directly to feed management’ at the bottom

Step 4: Click on “Publicize”

Step 5: Click on “Email Subscriptions”

Step 6: Activate email subscriptions

Step 7: Copy the whole code

Step 8: Go to your widgets dashboard (WordPress)

Step 9: Paste the code into a new text widget

Step 10: People will now be able to subscribe to your blog

This means that everytime you will update your blog, your subscribers will receive an automatic notification email. This will translates in loads of return traffic, and traffic equals revenues 🙂

How cool is that? Now take two minutes and implement this on your Adsense and Amazon sites starting today, you’ll be amazed how many people will sign up!

Are you going to finish strong?

So today’s reality check is about failure… You know that good old feeling that you screw up somehow, and things are not working the way it should. Maybe you are struggling to make your first dollars online? Or you want to help your loved one financially but can’t seem to hit the big bucks idea?

Failure is part of the learning curve. Fail and learn from your mistakes. And never ever give up.

Probably the best advice I ever got.

Here is a little video to remind ourselves that whatever we set our mind to we can achieve.

Leave a comment below if this inspires you and you want to share your words of wisdom,

Have a great day,

The Most Undevalued Keyword [Part 2]

Following my first post on one of the most undervalued keyword, ’emergency dentist in [your city]’, here is the strategy I have borrowed from the Video Offline Assassins.

Step 1. Create a high-impact video to send to local businesses

Step 2. Gather loads of local businesses emails (for this I will use Local Cash Scraper)

Step 3. Email them your video and wait for the calls to roll in!

Looks simple enough? Well let’s say that I’m on it, I hate cold calling so I can see the beauty in this method!

For now here is the video I made, I simply followed the Video Assassin template, and with a little Powerpoint and Camtasia magic here it is. It’s a bit cheesy I admit, next time I’ll get a professional voice over artist on Fiverr 🙂

=> CLICK to PLAY the video below.

This week I am going to email this video to local dentists, as my last prospect let me down before we closed the deal (long story short, he wanted to get my site for pennies!).  I’ll make sure to let you know what results this video brings!

I also wanted to give you all the files I used to create this video but I am not in the mood to work too hard today (let’s call it lazy Sunday)! But fear not, I’ll send you all the Camtasia and Powerpoint files this Wednesday when I’m back from my short trip!

P.S. If you are not comfortable with creating your own videos, you can either hire me to do one like this for you (email me at, or get your pre-packaged email and video templates from Video Offline Assassins. Then grab some local businesses email with Local Crash Scraper and blast your emails away until the phone starts ringing!

The Most Undervalued Keyword

As promised here is a video discussing the Rent-A-Site model and what is in my opinion one of the most undervalued and overlooked keyword there is.

The Rent-a-Site model consists of the following: find a profitable local service, create a website for it, optimize it until you get daily leads, and then resell it to a local business.

I first came across it in a product called “Rent-a-Site” by Internet Marketer Jamie ‘GoGetta’ (awesome guy). And recently Craig Mako had a similar hit with his FastAttackRent WSO.

I really believe in this system, and I am currently targeting several niches in my local city, in this case Dublin. In this video I will show which secret keyword I think you should go after (today) and why this model is so powerful.

Against All Odds [INSPIRATION]

What is it that drives us to promote, JV, create products, broadcast emails and backlink like hell?

Behind each of our action, there is a soul-deep drive, something that inspires us.

In this series of articles I would like to share some real stories of people who have overcome immense adversity and who can serve as inspiration when we are struggling to achieve our goals.

“At a fund-raising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:

‘When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does, is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do.He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?’

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued.

‘I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.’

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, ‘Do you think they’ll let me play?’
I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, ‘We’re losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we’ll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.’

Shay struggled over to the team’s bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay’s team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.

In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay’s team scored again.

Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat.

Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn’t even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay’s life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.

The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay…

As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman’s head, out of reach of all team mates.

Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, ‘Shay, run to first! Run to first!’

Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.

He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, ‘Run to second, run to second!’

Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.

By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball . the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher’s intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman’s head.

Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, ‘Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay’

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, ‘Run to third! Shay, run to third!’

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, ‘Shay, run home! Run home!’
Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team
‘That day’, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, ‘the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world’.

Shay didn’t make it to another summer.

He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!”

Bosses approve of employees working from home [INFOGRAPHIC]

Lately there has been a growing trend in working from home agreements. It makes a lot of sense, if you think about it with Skype and a high-speed connecting you don’t really need to be in the office to work on most IT jobs. Slightly more difficult if you’re a pilot though.

Tim Ferriss is a big proponent of working from home (or wherever you want in the world), and I recently read a cool story in his book of how one man managed to take some vacations in China for 30 days without anyone noticing at the office (!?). Pretty cool IMHO.

This said here is a very nice infogrpahic I found about this very topic today. Time to ask your boss for some working days at home?

33% Speed Increase [VIDEO TUTORIAL]

Page speed is some kind of esoteric topic in the IM community, yet it is one of the ranking factors which will affect your position in the SERPS. Additionnally, if your website is slow you can be sure that you will lose tons of visitors who are not patient enough to wait for your page to load.

According to the BBC, the average attention span for a visitor is 9 seconds. Does your website load fast enough?

In this live case-study, you will see how I increased my website speed by 33% in 15 minutes using 3 simple free plugins; you can pause this video as I go and do the steps yourself, you will definitely see INSTANT results 🙂

Enjoy and take action.
